Adopt Don’t Shop
Many people go to pet stores to purchase a dog not knowing the dirty secret behind pet store dogs….puppy mills. Puppy mills are where dogs are kept in deplorable conditions for the simple act of making puppies…and money for the puppy mill owner. This presentation exposes the students to the horrors of puppy mills and why it is so important to adopt a pet from a shelter. By adopting a shelter pet and not buying a dog from a pet shop, you not only save the life of a shelter dog, but you are not supporting the horrible practice of puppy mills.
